I have recently purchased BikeCAD Pro and none of the templates will open, what am I doing wrong

I'm thinking of using Columbus Max or Mini Max on the next frame I build. Has anyone used the BikeCAD miter templates with an elliptical tubeset like Max? If so, how well did that work?

I've contacted Brent and he mentioned that I can't currently put both vertical and horizontal dimensions in for an elliptical tube in BikeCAD. However, he did mention that the horizontal dimension isn't really as critical as the vertical dimension regarding the miter template. I'm afraid I don't really understand why that is.

I am new to this so please indulge me.On the DT BB mitre there is the extension that represents the seat tube. How does one use this mitre? I assumed that small intrusion of the seat needs to be cut out of the downtube. I also assume the vaguely diamond shape part of the miter template that sticks out one end is not cut out.

Hi Brent, I seemed to have lost where the fork part of all the tubing, seat stays, stems, couplers area. Are all the forks now in a different dialog box. Sorry for such a basic question I am sure it is right htere

I am trying to design a bike for a given set of lugs. All of the angles in the front quadralateral are defined by the lug angles. I can set the seat and head angle. Is there a way to set the HT-DT angle and the DT-ST angle. I have found that after I set the ST length I have to use trial and error to set the other tube lengths so that the angles come out correct.

Is there a better way? I am new to this so I may be missing something.

I am new to bikeCAD. When I make a user-defined angular dimension and save it all is well. If I change the design, the user define measurement does not change. Am I doing something wrong?

Hi Brent- A client of mine was trying to send me some BikeCAD Pro files. He uploaded them onto Dropbox, and when I saved and opened them the only thing to "change" was their custom paint- all of the frame numbers stayed at the default template size. I am guessing he is not fully saving the designs before uploading them into the Dropbox folder, but there may be something more to it that you can id simply. He is on the newest version, and I am on the last gen. Would you expect that to cause any issues?

User images will not upload - keep getting a Java error/image not found message regardless of the pic's location.

Builder info will not save, regardless of method of restarting BikeCad Pro 8.1 after entering info on Start-up Customise menu.

Some questions about chain stay miter template generation...

1. I think there was a problem with the CS templates in pre version 8.0? I am now running version 8.0, are the CS templates working ok in this version? When I look at the miter templates for my chain stays the drive side template is different to the non-drive side? I dont understand why this is the case as both stays are identical and symmetrically attached to the bottom bracket shell?

Hi Brent.

I can not find way to place the chain stay or rear brake bridges on either the main or auxiliary stay display. I would like to sdisplay the distance from the centre of the bridges to the centre of the rear axle so I can work out the relationship between fender placement, outer tire diameter, brake reach and the rim.
